Consent, Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
I confirm that I am the participant, or the parent/legal guardian of the participant if the participant is a minor, and that I have read and understood this Consent, Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver.
I understand that participation in PIPAFF activities, including performances, rehearsals, workshops, competitions, training sessions, stage activities, movement within event venues, and other festival-related activities, may involve inherent and ordinary risks. These may include slips, falls, physical exertion, accidental contact, equipment-related incidents, illness, personal injury, and loss of or damage to personal property, even when reasonable safety precautions are observed.
I voluntarily accept and assume the inherent and ordinary risks associated with participation. To the extent permitted by applicable Philippine law, I release and hold harmless the Philippine International Performing Arts Festival Foundation (PIPAFF), its officers, directors, organizers, employees, volunteers, judges, contractors, partner organizations, sponsors, and venue representatives from claims arising from those inherent or ordinary risks. This waiver does not exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be waived or limited under Philippine law.
In the event of an accident, injury, illness, or medical emergency, I authorize PIPAFF and its authorized representatives to arrange reasonable first aid or emergency medical assistance when reasonably necessary. I understand that PIPAFF does not guarantee the availability or outcome of medical treatment and that medical, transportation, or related expenses may remain the responsibility of the participant, parent, or legal guardian, subject to applicable law.
I agree that the participant will follow PIPAFF rules, venue regulations, safety instructions, schedules, and reasonable directions from authorized festival personnel. I understand that failure to comply may result in removal from an activity or disqualification when appropriate.
I understand that PIPAFF is not responsible for unattended, lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings except to the extent responsibility is imposed by applicable law.
I consent to photographs, audio recordings, and video recordings of the participant being taken during official PIPAFF activities and being used for legitimate PIPAFF documentation, publicity, promotional, archival, website, social-media, and festival-related purposes, subject to applicable Philippine privacy and data-protection laws.
I acknowledge that personal information submitted through this registration may be collected, stored, used, and otherwise processed by PIPAFF for legitimate purposes related to registration, event administration, participant communication, payment, safety, documentation, and other necessary festival operations, in accordance with applicable Philippine data-protection laws.
